洛杉磯湖人「紫金一哥」Kobe Bryant與Pau Gasol是戰友、是好友、也是2屆總冠軍隊友，兩人焦不離孟，孟不離焦，如果有個人能勸留Gasol，那個人，就在燈火闌珊處。

「與湖人續約當然是有可能的，但我現在無法保證任何事情，因為那還太遙遠。」Gasol的合約今夏即將到期，似乎也沒那麼遠。

接著，Gasol在自己的部落格《http://www.paugasol.com/blog》大膽告白，「如果有任何事、任何人讓我決定留下來，那會是Kobe Bryant。」

「我會為了他留隊，但前提是球隊必須有顯著的改變，我說過很多次了，我想待在一支能贏球的球隊、一支視我為重要因子的球隊。」Gasol說。
