國民隊「天才小史」Stephen Strasburg跟華盛頓國民隊達成協議，以一年397萬5千美元加上激勵獎金，留在國民陣中。
目前才25歲的天才小史，去年出賽30場，拿到8勝9敗的戰績，防禦率3.00。
2012年他拿到15勝6敗，防禦率3.16，單季飆出197次三振的好成績。
不過國民2013年球季戰績無法拿到國聯東區冠軍，總計86勝76敗，不敵勇士隊。
國民隊目前在季外補強部份不多，最重要的先發投手部分找來前老虎隊Doug Fister。
下一季預計先發輪值將會是Stephen Strasburg、Gio Gonzalez、Jordan Zimmermann、Doug Fister與Ross Detwiler。
